Boobs Again (encore)

Women talk about breasts. Program #538, May 21, 2011.

Left: Boob Book by Yara Cluver. Right: Two mammograms, one showing a lesion.

1-Men and women around town talk about breasts and breast enhancement.
2-The women of Karen Peterson’s family have a gene with a rare mutation that makes the risk of breast cancer soar. These brave women of the Jayne family have faced the risk squarely and proclaim: Jaynes are tough.
3-Yara Ferreira Cluver’s photographic art raised hackles when she showed breasts in an unusual way–not erotic, as is the norm in art, but functional, for feeding babies.

Music: The Boob Fairy by Deirdre Flint.
